What my non consistent but consistent everyday looks like: As a female student and CEO

By Lauren Saucedo

As no day is the same, and I hate being in the same location for too long, this is what my ideal day with my basic tasks and chores looks like to me. I will emphasize this, my day to day changes depending on the season and time. Most of the year I am a full time student living in Austin Texas, even then throughout my school year I travel. If it were up to me my everyday life would consist of me being somewhere not home, or leaving home. I believe that by completing and keeping up with my work and school tasks I enjoy traveling because it is when I feel most fulfilled in my life.

Now let's get into the day in my life. I am someone that enjoys following the millionaire morning routine, and that giving yourself 2 hours before your brain actually needs to be up to get simple tasks and chores done prior to fully starting my day. Waking up at 5:45am, to first make my bed- I am the biggest believer that making your bed sets not only the tone of the room, but the tone of the day. Following the making of my bed - I do the basic hygiene which consists of my 2 step skincare routine, brushing my teeth, and throwing my hair up in a ponytail. I tend to throw on leggings, a sports bra, and my running shoes. When in Austin, I start my on average 11.7 mile run which consists of me running from my sorority house, to the lady bird lake trail and back. By this time I feel that my brain is fully awake and is ready to be put into use. When not at home such as when I am in Miami or New York - I run but not as much as there is usually work to attend to earlier than normal. Shower, and repeat the same process done when I initially wake up, except my skincare routine is now 9 steps rather than 2… Why waste good skincare, just to sweat it all off, right?

Now this is where my day can go a multitude of ways, see my perfect day would consist of brunch with friends or family wherever in the world I maybe. But when work and school call I usually grab a coffee (often starbucks - a grande ice vanilla sweet cream cold brew with skim milk), and some toast with fruit, (avocado toast if time is being sweet to me). I enjoy keeping my life busy and working towards my goals and what I want, either being working to finish a new work project, or attending class to get my degree. No matter where I am I usually find myself responding to emails along the way or jumping in on a meeting for husL. Throughout my day my time tends to be strict, but as the seasons go on I find myself becoming more strict on myself especially towards the end of the school year, because I will tend to find myself wanting to catch up on sleep, take time for myself, or planning my next season like right now summer. As I do not work / do my app husL full time right now, and as we are fully in the development process there isn’t much to be done directly with me other than joining meetings and or going to meet with future investors and clients. Normally around 4:30pm / 5pm my day starts to wind down (school and work wise). During this time I usually try and fit in a yoga class or anything I can do to get some meditation time. When I am not busy with school and work and traveling for pleasure I promise you I am still answering emails but probably doing so while enjoying the beach, shopping, or the city.

Any day I believe you should have a good dinner, no matter the time, or with whom you spend dinner with. Some nights I eat alone to catch up on work or school, or my favorite nights consist of wine, cheese boards, and a good bowl of pasta with friends or family. I will always, always, and I mean always, end my day with a body shower, and a matching set of pajamas. While I have this routine, I believe in constantly changing and evolving it, whether it be the location, or changing up the order of my tasks. I believe that the best part of my life is constantly staying busy, and constantly looking for ways I can change my life but still maintaining still-ness through my routine. I have found that with my routine I am often less stressed, and tend to know what is coming my way and has allowed me to pivot when needed. I recommend individuals who do not have a routine to create one, because I have learned that people may not always be there for you or in your life, your routine will be, and this allows me and you to self rely on something we can make possible, and do for ourselves.
