EmpowHER hour enables UT alumni speakers to motivate other UT community members. Students are exposed to a panel of talented and well-versed speakers who want to share their talent and experiences with the hopes of inspiring the next generation of leaders.
January’s EmpowHER hour was given by UT alumni, Caroline Page. She graduated with a B.S. in journalism from the School of Journalism and Media. In addition to her role as Director of Development and Communications at Friends of the Children of Austin, she works with the Jessica Vollman Foundation (JVF). Caroline and Jessica were close friends and carries on her impactful legacy through diligent service and mission-driven work. JVF supports KS WELI FoundHERs through grants in honor of Jessica, helping them grow their businesses.
Caroline’s session focused on ways to give back to the community and make a positive impact through actionable steps. Caroline spoke about her leadership journey and her current role as Director of Development and Communications. Her leadership journey began wtih the Ugandan children's choir as a Tour Director. She later moved to New York to work at Robin Hood, one of the largest poverty-fighting organizations, strengthening her mission in service. She now resides in Austin and also serves on The Board of Directors of Mainspring School.
Caroline is an immense inspiration to emerging female leaders as they find their place in the evolving business landscape.
